Thoughts on the forthcoming new releases

Post by bigmoog »

I was worried that we may have entered a quiet era in TD's output after the spring concerts.....worried and concerned for a number of reasons.

Now,we have news of a couple of new releases.

Atomic V, of which the latest track I have heard, particularly the guitar part, bodes well for a strong finale to The Endless Season

and news of a covers CD....Under Cover. This is a surprise, it will probably cause rifts and splits and tears and wailing across the net and into the future....at the very least it could be interesting, at its best it could be brilliant ....lets see......TD continue to surprise dont you think?

I've not looked into the TDOC area of late as nothing was going on, but after reading a couple of threads I'm fully psyched up for a covers album! I'm glad it's not all Beatles covers too, as I would have suspected a repeat of the encores.
TD do not stop surprising and it's what keeps us coming back for more and more. :D

Good Times...

News of both new releases is very welcome. There's always a calm before the storm I suppose, and that's what we've been experiencing.

It's getting to a stage where I say so many positive things about TD, I'm genuinely looking for fault, just to not appear too much of a fanboy....

....once again TD have failed to provide any. :D

Very excited about the new releases.

I think nobody could expect a cover album by TD... nobody !
Some fans will be furious about the resulting album, some will be delighted (remember Cyclone, Tyger, the Dante Trilogy and MFD)...
I like the idea, now let's wait for the songs... I'm not anxious, TD can manage the challenge. :)

Great news says I,
was getting a bit concerned that 2010 was to be a "lean year"
So far "only" DMV and Zeitgeist mini cupdisc.
Compared with last year Flame, Chandra, Cage, WIH and Booster 3.

Will there be enough material for Booster 4? at the end of the year?

I have enjoyed all the cover versions we have heard so far so, makes sense
to me to do a whole album, bring it on.

Credit card flexed and ready.

That would do for me.
How about Hendrix's All Along the Watchtower? That would cover Dylan as well. Or Hey Joe?

Floyd's Interstellar Overdrive would be good.

For Genesis how about Firth of Fifth or I Know What I Like? Personally Entangled would mean a lot to me.
