Don't think the "gamers" have a clue to TD and the soundtrack. The soundtrack for the gamers are the hip hop and rap not good. They may be listening to the TD sound while playing this game but they ain't going to go out and buy it. The album soundtrack I believe is already available which consist of the sh!te music. We the true TD fans know what is good music. Plus this will be available here and here only. Don't think they know or care about TD or this website.

Actually, when the game first came out there were a hell of a lot of videos of game footage with TD music posted by gamers, and tons
of positive comments about various sections....not that they may therefore go out and look for the soundtrack of course...

The score for the groundbreaking game GTA 5 was based on the merging of four different artist inputs, a procedure the music supervisor of the game had to follow. Finally it worked perfectly for the game. What has been left out, necessarily to give the game a needed sound dress in its abstract form, is the so-called cinematographic score. Here you will find the music without any other information from the game itself. It’s the pure musical environment composed and played solely by Tangerine Dream. Maybe you will recognize a tune or rhythm here and there, but everything is built in the dress of sequencer lines and melodies as it was composed in the first place.

YES, it's new music (not released on Amazon)...
And why not 2 or 3 CDs ? Don't know... but I'm sure Edgar has his reasons !
