Release day! Hooray!

Easy guys. And be carefull with your quick writings. Think and and re-think before you write down the wrong things. Everyone has right on his opinion. Whether you like this cd or not, up to you. But respect the music of Edgar and what the members now do with it. I cannot judge the cd, have not heard it yet. Hoping for the quick delivery of the Pledge things.
Will listen tomorrow on Spotify and let you my feelings.

The album is already out on Spotify. Listened through it and found it to be better than I expected. So now I have ordered the signed CD, T-shirt and Sessions EP at Pledge Music. Still 122 signed copies left!

"Making of Quantum Gate -Videochat" they play small parts of the Edgar's musical scetches that was the foundation for QG.

I think it would be cool if more of these could be available for comparison with the finished album. Maybe as a download only?

I have listened many times to QG now, and it is an immense album. Love how they have landed Edgar's vision with this. There are two tracks that are not as immediate as the others, in my opinion. And those are Granular Blankets and Non-Locality Destination. They will grow on me, for sure. All in all a fantastic album!

Just listened to QG on apple music. I don't like the massive layered sound of the new TD. Everything ends up in a big mash, letting no air to breathe. Like on the Quaeschnig/Schnauss album and some of Schnauss' solo works.

Till now I have to depend on the spotify release. But hope we don’t have to wait till end of the month for the Pledge release. From what I now hear, this is not the music from the last decade. It is going back in the past with new elements in it. I like it very Much. And I think it will grow and grow.

This is critisism I can partly agree with. Sometimes less is more. Minimalism.
Hope the Quantum years TD will also try that way of composing in the future.

I like the album for its creativity, but I more or less agree with what you said about the massive layering. The music has not much room to breathe, because the whole sound spectrum is full of stuff all the time (bass, midrange, highs). A few quiet islands with only a few sounds within the album would make the listening experience much better.

Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised by the album. It's obvious a lot of effort went into trying to get it right.

CD arrived today and first play almost complete , a late night listen , and fairly loud also

Blimey, a lot to take in, full on TD soundscape , quite intense and upfront.

I think I like it, I suspect it will be a grower of an album.

I listened to QG for the first time last night and I thought it was excellent. There was not one track I didn't like and it was so good to hear Edgar on guitar again in Non-Locality Destination. Well done all, it was a terrific effort and one which I am sure Edgar would approve!! I do not agree on a few that say there is too much Multi-layering - I did not feel that at all and the whole thing felt so good. Keep up the good work Thorsten, Ulrich and Hoshiko - you are doing Edgar and the name TD proud. Can't wait to listen to the album again. Roll on the next in the Quantum period.
