I like the "covers" Tim. Very Cool.

My clear vinyl copy looks lovely but sounds like a pan of 10 eggs frying. :x

In the last year of the Nineteen Seventies, the post poonk era, before the glittery preening big shouldered hateies, The BM purchased Force Majeure by the Tangerine Dream band. Clear Vinyl, nice textured sleeve....etc. Then it walloped me around the head, with Cloudburst Flight and the unusually tangy Thru Metamorphic Rocks......but the Title track.....I could never really warm to it, perhaps for me then it felt like a lash up...too many themes and disjointed bits n bobs...a progressive epic then....During my initial work on marinaTegenDer's forthcoming (now due in 2009.....30 era anniversary....) false midgeure cd...I listened again to the title track. Perhaps it's age or a deep mellowing of my grizzly nodes, but by gum! What a fabulous track, its a powerful piece of virtuosity, thats for sure, with so many interwoven thematic elements, its sort of like a real musical journey-not like the classic TD epics in that they take me away to alien worlds, but a journey of discovery....what are TD gonna throw my way next. Brilliant stuff.

FM is now in my top 200 TD album list, nestling nicely at number 10, after the 9 versions of Zeit above

:D :D Thee large, see through vinyl coaster version of "false midgeure" was BWILLIANT. I have been also playing thee small silver coaster version of same, and it's a TD CLASSIC in either format. Beer glass fits the small coaster better though  :!:

Never seen one :( but the LP is cheap, so you could just frame the sleeve. Zavvi (Virgin that was) sell frames for LP display.

Either that or scan it in and re-touch it in Photoshop and do a laser print of it
