I was giving this a listen this morning on the way into work
apart from the poor editing i found this full of energy & moodiness
I'm surprised i haven't spun this CD more frequently

Some exceptionally good music on this CD IMHO,its a shame the release was not presented better.........I dont think the line up at the time had any say in its release, but dont quote me on it

Hence the poor editing but i love the driving energy on the tracks like 'swatting SWAT' excellent IMHO
I think the majority of TD soundtracks have been given a poor presentation especially where the band haven't been directly involved

:D Very good music to this movie. Unfortunately it has not been released on DVD yet but it was a reasonably good film with Tommy Lee Jones. A lot of films scored by TD never got official TD approved music cd releases, however I think it was a company called Silva Screen that released several of their film scores without any sort of editing and TD moaned about them and distanced themselves from them. However, even though they could have been put together better, without Silva Screen none of them would have been available in any shape or form so I am grateful for these releases, as they are better than nothing - IMHO. :D

I actually picked this up in a local independent record store three years ago. The wee guy who ran the store had loads of good stuff and a handful of TD and EF cd's. Sadly he closed after only six months....I love this soundtrack but have never had the chance to see the movie.

Great musical content - Sh*** production. Films worth a look as well.

Despite some outrageous distortion in parts this is a great release. Sounds to me as if the music was taken straight from a film reel and not the original masters. Just goes to show that good music doesn't necessarily need to be recorded perfectly.

Of all these soundtracks released without TD's involvement this is one of the best. And then Edgar and Johannes included my favourite two tunes of this soundtrack on their "Kyoto" album: "Taking The Park (Part 1)" and "The Claymore Mine". :)

A very good soundtrack IMHO. I'm no engineer so I can't really detect the poor editing since it sounds pretty good to me. (I guess ignorance IS bliss, after all.) Then again, one would think the quality would have been better considering that it was mastered by Alan Howarth, who co-wrote movie scores with director John Carpenter ("Halloween," "Escape From New York").

Back when I was working for a daily afternoon newspaper, "The Park Is Mine" was the very first novel I ever reviewed, so I was rather delighted when I learned that HBO had made it into a movie with a TD soundtrack. I have it at work and give it a listen every now and then.

I would give this 8/10 would have been 10 if the editing would have been better

Love "the calymore mine/stalking" - it's so threatening
