If you've already heard Blue Dawn, it's very difficult to view this album objectively. For me, Blue Dawn's guitar work was absolutely spot-on and hearing the same tracks with weaker performances dilutes the appeal a little. That said, the album does hang together very well and, as a complete work, is greater than the sum of its parts.
The "real" track list is as follows:
1. Iguana intro (also Parabola outro with a different closing cadence)
2. Iguana mid section
3. Riding the Wind aka Lily's Waltz
4. Eagle's Crest (sax replaces guitar and is actually v.good!)
5. New track
6. Blue Dawn (where you *really* miss Edgar!)
7. Parabola middle part (missing from Rockface)
8. Cardomon Route
9. New track
10. Native Companions
11. New track
12. New track
13. Parabola outro
Overall 7/10 I think. I'd give it an 8 if Edgar's guitar parts were still there.
